My biggest concern is that he won't be very sturdy at all, if the base set is anything to compare to. It might be completely different with something that has smaller parts versus large, flat panels. But if he isn't decently solid, that'll do it for me.

We'll have to see. Nothing in particular was mentioned about his quality except the new hands.

    this looks really nice.

in bot mode, mid section looks like if could get loose and weak over time.

I think S250's lack on specifics commenting on the quality is actually a postive indicator:

Still waiting for Peaugh or Vangelus to review it, or for a feedback thread. Don't really care until either of those things happen.

Hey, guys, please correct me if im wrong, but... didn't we also see some kind of indication of a mini-MP Prime regular color version, that was done in "transparent" plastics? :D

I'd be looking out for that!

the more I see this thing the more I want it. I'd definately have to see reviews before picking him up.

Probably a good thing I don't have the money to buy him at the moment, though, at the end of this summer, if I've heard good things and he's available at a reasonable price I might be tempted.

yeah, a nemesis version, regular convoy and a clear version if i'm not mistaken. i'd be surprised if they didn't go the ultra magnus route.

Looks promising. I'll also wait for initial reviews but I would definitely like to pick up this guy.

Where can I purchase the regular version and how much does it cost? I checked over at bigbadtoystore but didn't see a listing.

My other question is about the rumor regarding I-Gear making a miniature Masterpiece Megatron...is that confirmed? I'd really love that for the classics shelf and playability. I'd totally put my henkei Megatron back in the box and display the KO w/Classics. Plus I love transforming MP-05...it'd be cool to have a smaller version that I didnt worry about breakihg.

The popular online retailers are not touching this product, due to is KO nature, which will land them in hot water with Hasbro and Takara. I think the easiest way to buy the figure is from igears themselves, by visiting their website. There were rumors about a mini KO MP Megatron by them.

If their websites' release date is correct, we will start to see these soon. Looks like everything is almost in place, packaging and product seen in (at least) test shot stage.
Quite surprised price is as reasonable as it is due to the complexity of the figure, if quality is as sharp as it it looks from S250's pics... well I'll be ordering.
Also be interested to see how reliable their online shop is.

They said that a Magnus is planned for later in the year and they're thinking of doing Megatron.

I joked with the person I spoke to on the site chat saying they should have gone the other route and should have UPscaled the seekers instead. They said they were thinking about that too.

Hey guys, many thanks to those who answered my question! :D

Hmm, I passed up on Warbot "Defender" because i didnt quite like the plastic quality used, IMHO something in-between KO and the real stuff used on official toys..? Meh, in any case, this would be so bought after the one and only Peaugh does the super-duper awesome in hand review! :D  ;)

EDIT! Dayum, many thanks to Process for hooking me up to the "official" iGear page for these three cool incarnation of the MP Prime mold...

Those actually look half decent and pretty darn hot for a third-party release..

    Decisions, decisions! :D
