You know I think I still prefer my MP03. I love the fact that the colours are correct on this version but the shades of red and white they've used just look a little cheap to me. Agreed that they need to tone down on the black shadowing in the alt mode.
The paint wash helps the jet mode a lot - But I still prefer the darker robot mode that Takara gave us.
They still need to loose the black paint off the top of the jet mode. He looks like he's coal fired! At least it's not over any paint applications that would be damaged by removing the soot streak.
So far as bot mode goes, I prefer my MP03 colour-wise. I do like the jet in white though, looks very...iconic. I am glad that people who really wanted this are getting it at last. I won't be buying it, but at least Hasbro is keeping the rest of you happy ^^
ITs very cool and I am very happy they are doing it in g1 colors, but unless they upped the scale to match Prime I don't care too much.
how come hasbro is so fixated/obssessed with battle damage or dirty look? I wont be surprised if Takara will release a pristine version of this. They are really milking us . I'll pass on this. I've spent too much money on toys lately. time to get laid.
Tacky (damnable cherry red) but the better joints and better balance (supposedly, not sure about that) makes it worth considering.
I STILL think a G1-colored MP Starscream actually coming out in the U.S. is too good to be true. This has to be a custom.
While the black smoke marks are way overdone, I'm liking that a lot and will buy it if accessible (where I didn't for MP-03). I'm thinking the black bits are softer/more rubbery plastic for safety and less likelyhood for hinges breaking on TF'ing. Nice photos. Just call him Stumpy McStumperton.
