The anticipation is absolutely killing me!

The transformation is perhaps simple by alt. grimlock standards, that shouldn't be that important; it is afterall a new mould and a 'Con which are both pluses in my book.

Hands?! Ravage v.2 doesn't have hands either. No piano playing or knitting for poor Rumble and Ravage  .

 

I wonder why some of you think robots absolutely need hands. They can't care less.

 

Not having hands isn't a problem when they've got weapons instead. They're gigantic war machines, so big guns that are attached to the arms actually makes sense, since it's a lot harder to be disarmed. You literally would have to be "dis-armed"!

I don't mind the no-hands thing, although I would prefer if he had both hands and piledrivers.

The only thing I truly dislike about it is the copyright on the shoulder.

Rumble always seemed like the type of delinquent bot who'd pick his nose and wipe it on the wall of Soundwave's chest. This would be a lot harder without a finger, and he's too dumb to think of any alternatives for extracting oil-boogers.

Except they're not giant war machines... they're living humanoid creatures, who just happen to be mechanically based. From most traditional sources, we see that TFs have a use for hands in many of their regular tasks. It's an established part of the traditional Transformers aesthetic and "biology". Even Shockwave has ONE hand.  

This Rumble doesn't even really have ARMS. He's barely articulated in that sense, which is pretty far below the bar for Alternators. At this point, he's competing with Metroplex's SixGun, and at least SixGun could shoot stuff.  

I think being completely incapable of basic tool use or manipulating objects, just might concern a Transformer. I always wondered how Ravage got by, but for a humanoid TF, it's a real problem! And ultimately, it doesn't really matter if they could care less... WE do, and we're the ones that buy the toys (or not).  

Besides... from the looks of this design, they could have easily incorporated hands as a fold-out option. It just seems lazy to me.

I wonder what the possibility is of a blue one ending up in the kiss play line? I'd LOVE not to have to do a full repaint of an alt. again. it's a pain in the ass.

 

Kiss Play seems to have only one Destron in the story and he hasn't been seen even as a proto yet.
