Powermaster Prime had a good long run within the original Marvel Comics run. No love for the comics?

Also: note to everybody: Powermaster Prime equals Super Ginrai, NOT God Ginrai. Even though this seems like a halfway point due to the forearms, if he doesn't have the chrome chestpiece, it's just "Super" Ginrai.

 

personally, we need updates versions of Masterforce toys.... stat!

Hmmmm I'd say the toy's torso is too tall and legs a bit stubby however so did the original both were fixed when the Apex armour came out so I'd say this has potential

Wow, you just took the words right out of my mouth lol. I think it's the thin legs, although no doubt more poseable he looks more top heavy than the original God Ginrai/PMOP. Bit disappointed really  

 

I am pretty sure I'll never buy a Xovergen design they have all looked horrible imo so far.

 

he also doesn't have the wings, shoulder missile or platform boots of God Ginrai!

I like the concept of a fully articulated PM armour for my classics Prime, but I'm not keen on this particular execution!

They need to spend FAR more time on the plastic QC than the box.

 

I don't understand the general dislike of this... I think it's pretty awesome and will buy it granted it's less than 160 dollars. I have their first release (got it in green to make it Hardhead) and I think, a few design problems aside, it was a nice start.

This looks even better, I'll be an early adopter.

 

This is my dream figure. PM Prime was my first Optimus toy as a kid and I always loved the combination.

This is much better than the 200 dollar city commander knockoff/remold from slagacon or whatever

You nailed it. I do like their first release. As long as they improve the QC issues, I am sure this is gonna be a great seller for them. I'm gonna get it. I have some found memories of Powermaster Optimus Prime.

 

I feel you on that one! He was my first too. I got him after a surgury I had as child, so he has a certain sentimental emtion attached to him. If they do him, he better be done well.

 

I'm into it.

I find the blue gauntlets and leg guns a bit weird as it's otherwise Super Ginrai / Powermaster Prime and not God Ginrai/PM Prime w/ Apex Armor. I'm not really sure why they'd go for the hybrid of the two. I don't hate it by any means, but I'd rather a straight SG/PMP and then a seperate God/Apex Bomber add-on after. I'd love to get an updated Bomber that had articulation.
