appears to have a headmaster type gimmick.
Again, I don't get the hate for this - the 'robot' mode looks spot-on, and the vehicle mode makes more sense than a car. Plus, if he transform into, say, Jazz's alt mode or similar, people would only complain that he doesn't transform into his ship!
Yeah I really dont get it either, Love the look of buzz normaly and I love him like this
Headmaster Buzz Lightyear??
Where is the world going to!?!?!
This is also the first Disney Label TF I can see Hasbro releasing, and in time for Toy Story 3 to hit cinemas too.
I dunno, but it's heading to an awesome place.
That pic is much better then the last one. The robot mode looks much better. Spot-on, as Ominus said, and the Headmaster gimmick is really surprising. From, the looks of it, it'll most likely be a shellformer, but it's a good-looking shellformer.
I have to agree here. As far as Disney label goes, this has got to be the coolest and most well-made.
I dunno why, but I get a Sharkticon vibe when I look at it.
That is the greatest thing ever.
close up of headmaster.
The headmaster is just his head upside down. And on the reverse side, of course.
it looks creepy, doesn't it?
I want a Woody.
you're not alone, my friend.
See, it's nice, but I just really don't get the point of it. There is no appeal to this beyond it being Buzz and his ship; the charm of the Disney Label figures is that it's Disney characters as known Transformers. This is just a random piece of Toy Story merchandising, one that would normally run for up to 20 bucks but will now cost 50 because it's a 'specialty' piece. It just seems so...Weird.
And kind of a missed oppertunity. Imagine if this was a Buzz Cosmos, now that could have been awesome. Or if he transformed into the Ark! Now that would have been hilarious.
Something I didn't understand about the disney label Mickimus Prime...it was the size of a scout class. I never really paid attention to how big it was gonna be, then I saw it at a vendor table. I mean, come on, at least a voyager class would of made sense.
I think this makes a ton of sense. The ship is Buzz's signature vehicle. Micky Mouse and Donald Duck don't have signature vehicles, so they were given TF vehicles that fit their roles.
He's a Headmaster!? This makes me want it even more, though I really don't want to shell out $50 for a scout sized toy.
To be honest, Donald has his 313. And I suppose that it depends on personal taste. To me, though, this just seems not quirky enough to be a Disney Label Transformer. It feels more like a generic transforming figure of Buzz.
