    Hmmm...

I'm really hoping the crummy pic resolution is what's making that look so terrible. Could we get a link to it uncompressed?

Save the image (or right click and "view image" in firefox) to view full size. It's shrunk via the boards software.

Ugghh! Maybe it's because I'm getting used to the Movie look, but translating designs that work well in two dimemsional mediums like cartoons & comics to three dimensional statues just isn't doing anything for me.

This BUMBLEBEE is an especially feeble (and rather comical) attempt, in my opinion. The detailing is too contrived and the paint applied rather sloppily, while the 'tyre shoulders' actually look embarassingly bad.

    Yep, no improvement.

I'll buy statues if they rock my world. Honestly, nothing since Palisades has really done that for me. Plus, I don't like busts. I wouldn't purchase half a toy, and I won't purchase what looks like half a statue. At least this one has arms, though.

Bleah! What a terrible face sculpt! That lantern jaw and those weird pursed lips aren't doing him any favors. The shoulders and arms look nice enough, I guess.... but his car windows are so shrunken and distorted that it looks like he morphed rather than transformed.

I don't collect statues anyway, but this sure isn't one that would tempt me to start.

It looks like Bumblebee somehow acquired Skywarp's teleporting ability and got himself stuck in teletran-1. :inquisiti
Aside from my imagination it's a decent statue. It would look good in front of the Prime and Megatron wall statues.

I do collect statues and seems like I am in the minority, but I will pass on this one.

The only things I don't like about it are the crazy misshaped mouth and his eyes. Well, his face in general is pretty bad.

QFT. Man, this is ugly. What the hell is wrong with his face. I need to get back into the statue design business even if it's just for myself.

That is some crazy awful stuff. I mean... wow, did the mold melt before being used for casting?!

Thanks, 'duh' on my part on that one.

Looking at the full size helps to see the details a bit better... not sure on this take on old BB though. I will buy as a statue completionist, but can't imagine it being a good seller.

But for the folks who wanted a "G1 movie", this is probably pretty much what it would have looked like...

Generalizing like that is bad, m'kay? I'm a "liker" as people call it, but even I get annoyed with that kind of remarks. ;)

And why the hell does his face look like that of Cartman in that ep where he joined the Paralympics?:sly:

His face looks deformed, I don't understand why they put wheels on his shoulders and not the arms aswell, the poportions are all sorts of ass and it's really, really ugly.

God, it's times like this I really like the movie designs. (More than I usualy do.)

No insult, smartass-ness, or flamebaiting intended on my part... If someone created a character model by merging the G1 toy & cartoon asthetic and then translated it to CG and onto the screen, I can't imagine it looking much different than this.

My TF statue buying days are over. Besides, I'm very happy with the Bumblebee full statue from Hard Hero. This bust has one awful expression on it's face. I'll spend my $$ elsewhere.

Who did they use for the model, Bumblebee's stand-in?

I like it, except for the Jay Leno chin and the fact that half statues, or busts, freak me out. Nice inspiration from the boxart, I hope it wasn't the only source model around.
