I got my shipping confirmation from TFSource.com the other day. Blaster will be here any day now. 

 

Anybody know if there're any tooling differnces????

 

I have the orignal one with the battery type cover in the back. The reissue as a flat, smooth back with no unscrewable back panel to remove.

Second, the bar that holds the arms is PLASTIC!! My original one is metal.

Third, the legs are kinda light brown-silver. My old one is more silver.

Note I keep on saying mine bc I know there are different versions of the original Blaster out there.

 

 

I need to get one.

 

I cant' wait for mine to arrive. He looks good.

 

It's not pictured here, but Steeljaw is packaged leaping out of Broadcast's open door.  

 

Received mine today from BBTS. It's brick-tastic, but I love it. One of my very-longed-for-but-never-got-because-I-was-only-a-poor-kid G1 figs. But I have some questions for those of you who know much more than me. I thought I heard somewhere that it would be a working radio. Was that only a rumor or is that for Twincast or what? Also, where can the other tapes be found for Blaster? Is there any news on a reissue of tapes (for both Blaster/Twincast and Soundwave/Soundblaster)? Thanks for your help, all.

 

I got one at Dairycon, and he is awsome, one of my favorite things that I got there. Yes, he may be a brick, but a cool brick none the less. Now I need to get the Reissue Soundwave, Soundblaster, and when he comes out, Twincast.

if you're smart, you won't, unless they gave him an upgrade I don't know about. I never found an original working blaster...   but hello reissue   i cant wait to see a Blaster door actually open, really, I've never seen it  

 

I got my loose original back in the "old days" of sight unseen a.t.t. auctions and the door works just fine. Paid like $20 for it. Never got burned on one of those auctions, either. Got lots of loose G1 while in college, when I could least afford to be spending the money!

Thanks. It was time for a new sig and Blaster was just the right character to use. If I only had better camera than my camera phone. But somehow it works to make it look a little old school 80s-ish. Just need a graffitti background or something.
