I think they painted it black to give the vehicle mode that nice gloss. Otherwise it would probably be the same dull black/charcoal gray that the arm and pelvis are molded in. Still, it would have looked better if they'd painted BOTH sides.

But all in all this looks much nicer than it did before. I think I much prefer the Camaro in this scheme than the original.

I wasn't planning on getting him, but I might end up buying him, or maybe even Premium Bumblebee. Hopefully I don't, as I want to somehow get a G1 Grimlock with the little extra cash I currently have.

Can someone tell me if this is what bumblebee will look like in Transformers 2 the movie?

Surprised the toy makers already know...

 

the reasom why i think its yellow then black it is because of the colors. since yellow is such an light color, it would take a hell of a lot longer (and more paint) to paint the black pieces and still make it look black. where as it would not that long to cover a yellow piece with a dark color (black).

 

Not that we know of, as we don't have any pictures of anything from the 2nd movie, let alone anything of Bumblebee. As it is, this is just a toy repaint, and isn't meant to represent any on-screen form of BB (again, that we know of so far). TF lines have repaints like this all the time. They have repaints of the toys that don't represent anything from the show itself. Most likely, BB will look exactly the same as the last movie. Maybe a different color scheme, but that would be about it for any differences, imo.

 

That thing isn't even going to make it into robot mode without being painted when I get it. Paint the stripes black-ish silver, get rid of any yellow bits showing through in vehicle mode, add a red stript to the front... BOOM, Knight Rider repaint.

That's what I'm gonna do.

 

I always knew that this one was going to be probably the best repaint of the movie line, but everybody was really negatve to it.

I'll even buy 2 of those.

Love this repaint. Even the yellow in bot mode.

That's my plan as well.

I think that's the idea ... so he can stand in (so to speak) for regular BB with a battle mask.

I'm still switching the head though.

Or called him Goldbug (Bumblebee's rebuilt and mature form from G.I. JOE AND THE TRANSFORMERS #4)

Nice! I have one of these on preorder. Even with all the movie repaints,this Bee looks worth having.

 

The amount of yellow in Stealth BB's bot mode looks way better than the amount of yellow in the Regular BB's bot mode.

This is the best this mold has looked yet.

Add in the new, better-looking head, and this is a done deal.
