So.....as the story goes, and some of you may know....I'm an auctioneer.

I've been called in to help liquidate this estate and with it, approximately 5000 pieces of toys with probably an equal amount of non toy collectibles.

Today's initial look revealed these two gems. There are plenty more.

Ok, here's two quick questions then:

    A) Do you know what you have?
    B) Are you here as an auctioneer or a fan?

A little of both. I enjoy the toy hobbies but do not collect. I've done other vintage toy line sales in the past.

Yes. G2 defensor and a Battle Gaia as pictured. There's more goodness to come. Uncovered an in the box Minerva with head today as I was leaving.....

Should be a fun few months with this stuff.

Nice finds... hopefully this thread doesn't go off the rails like the G2 Stunticon thread did last year... I still feel bad for that guy.

Looks like you have come across a nice find. Congrats sir! That being said, you will likely be asking current market value and I cannot afford such luxuries. I cannot fault you for that I suppose. I go to dinner and the restaurant charges market value for meals. It's common fair trade practices. I definitely agree with market value when it comes to vintage or older items. It is the newer items people purchase for the sole purpose of inflating and reselling. Wow, rant off. Looks like you have come across some awesomeness! Best of luck sir :)

These will be selling at online auction with no expectations or limit on price. They will all start at $1.

We've got a few to go through.

There's another room full...not as intense but still another 500 pieces or so.

Plus there's another 20 bins in the basement ....the large 55qt sized ones.....they are all full of stuff too.

Basically someone liquidated an estate and auctioned off a sealed G2 Stuticon set for $26,000+. At least, that's the drama-less version

...and then it was discovered that more such sets existed.

    Wow - that collection is...massive.

Glad you found your way here mate, and I guess it was a set of G2 Protectobots after all! So maybe he had them displayed individually due to a lack of Hot Spot/combiner parts?

    All the best

One contributing factor may a reluctance to combine them due to First Aid and the risk of Gold Plastic Syndrome. Hopefully the rest of the combiner bits are somewhere...
