I hope for Hardhead, because I would buy him. Warpath looks cool, but Hardhead would be cooler colorwise and headwise.

Anybody else think the Lugnut re-head might end up being Jhiaxus?

I was able to find Kup, Perceptor and Scourge about three weeks ago.
But really there's been almost no new product on the shelves since Christmas.

The shelves are bare -except for Tuner Mudflap. :)

That's what I was thinking. Looks definitely like Shockwave. Not like a Shockwave I was expecting, but the head is very Shockwave-y.

I...am not getting a Shockwave vibe from that Lugnut head. It looks closer some of the G2 Cyberjet heads.

that was edited instructions hasbro sent out with the last wave of thunderwings from the revison wave that had all of wave 4 and 5 and cybertron megatron, red alert, and soundwave

earlier releases of thunderwing had the black shadow remold in the instructions, i figure it was damage control, for there was more than just new head molding shown on the instructions but also a new chest

so far it is the ONLY case where the reveal was corrected in subsequent releases of the figure in its run of my knowledge

I just got an idea and nearly blew my own mind.

So with the Space Case repaint from Terradive, let's get some more G2 love and get a Road Pig from Wreck-Gar with the Scrap Heap head! Put those two together and you can get the scariest jousting duo since Rumble riding Ramjet in G1!

I've always thought the Kup head looks like X-Brawn.

I feel really stupid. What am I supposed to be looking at in all these previously-released toys that would cause speculation on future releases? The images all look fairly basic for the instruction sheets -- sometimes they lack accuracy due to oversimplification. So some of the heads look a little different, but I don't understand why this would cause such speculation?

Well, even if the designers coming out and telling us exactly what they were doing wasn't enough of a hint, several times now the instruction sheets have enabled people to accurately predict new releases before they were announced.

Cliffjumper, Skullgrin, Space Case, Vortex, all were called this way.

Come on guy, how in the fuck do you "oversimplify" Optimus Prime so that he doesn't even have a faceplate anymore?

    Search a few threads.

I don't think that Terradive head is Space Case. Sure, it's used for Space Case, but they'll repaint anything for a store exclusive in the movie lines. The new head looks nothing like a Cyberjet. I mean, if that was the intention all along, he'd have a Space Case head. I think that head is supposed to be someone else later, he's just getting beat to market by his limited repaint.

I still think that Kup remold is intended to be Crosshairs. I'd rather it be, anyway, as I feel that head/body combo as it stands barely evokes Gears. Yeah, I've seen the digibashes and it still doesn't work. For me. Gears has too distinct of a character design to make him just a repaint of Kup with a barely-Gears head. Dude has a very particular (admittedly somewhat silly) large noggin.

I do worry a little bit about most of these remolds/repaints getting released, as there have been recent reports of even some Warpaths shipping with "corrected" instruction manuals (with the Hardhead head removed from the illustrations). But this could just be "movie toy aisle takeover" paranoia. I dunno. :/ I'm sure Hasbro wants to make back money from all these unique heads at some point.

I've just got my Generations Warpath and noticed something which I find strange about the alternate head in his instructions.

It only appears in one panel, and for the reverse instructions on the back of the sheet, the same step has the normal Warpath head instead of the "Hardhead" one.

I think that one was put in intentionally to get people speculating about a redeco of the Warpath figure. They probably already know who they want it to be (Combaticon Brawl) but want to throw people off a bit.
