Today I received the test prints for my next two Gunslinger figures, Truncheon and Backlash.

First off here's Truncheon, straight out of the package. There are 17 parts in total, including three optional gun handles:

And Backlash; 13 parts in the kit, including two gun handles. The clip needs to be glued in if you choose to use it, but can go in either horizontally or vertically depending on who you're using it with:

Here they are assembled. As with most of the others, they're 56mm tall, with 9 points of articulation each.

Rear views. As you can see, I've given Truncheon the standard peg (on the back of his right leg), since he'll eventually be going with Cyclonus, and Backlash has the clip glued in horizontally, so he can go onto Kup if he ever turns up round here... :p

    Gun modes:

And a quick shot showing them in use by the usually under-gunned Bluestreak.

I'm currently painting them up, so there should be updates fairly soon... :D

    Awesome. :thumb

Your Gunslinger series is very cool. But a question: When you design one, is it a completely unique design; do you take a cues from other Targetmasters?

    Thanks, all! :D

That kinda varies. Some of them, like Vantage and Salvo, are entirely original designs. Others, like Dustup and these guys, are still my designs, but are taking visual cues from G1 Targetmasters.

Well, aside from whatever I order as test prints or for my own use, I don't have any figures "in stock" as it were, so even if we were to decide on a trade, I'd still have to order the figures myself, then ship them to you. It'd actually be much simpler and cheaper to order them directly from Shapeways...

Thanks. What do you mean by "all", exactly? I don't even know how many I'm doing... :p

Oh, not by a long shot. ;)

Fear not, he hasn't been forgotten. I do have a couple of others I want to concentrate on getting out first, though. :)

    Yay! :D

Absolutely. Actually, there's very little to do to him, so I may let him jump the queue and let him into my next test print. :)

Fantastic - I hope you enjoy 'em!

Or any of the Detail materials. As I've said elsewhere, I actually like the texture; once it's had a coat or two of paint, it's actually pretty subtle and nice to touch, even if doesn't necessarily photograph too well.
I'm reluctant to release them in Detail until I've tested them; assuming they'll even print (Detail requires a higher wall thickness than WSF, and I sometimes have to cut it pretty fine as it is), I'm not sure whether it has the necessary durability to handle the ball joints. I've heard one or two stories of snappage while joints are assembled. I do intend to test a few pieces in Detail when I can afford to, though. Might see about including a few trial components when I order my Whiteburn head...

I use AutoCAD 2000 at the moment; it's old, but it serves my purposes for now. I'm having a play around with a couple of other options, though.
Funny you should mention ladyguns - I do happen to be toying with one idea, though it's still very early stages yet...

Mayhem should be in my next test batch. :)

And although the clip doesn't work in quite such a clip-like manner as I planned, I'm completely happy with how Truncheon's worked out, and I think he'll actually be ready for release with no mods, once I've got painted photos.
Backlash works very nicely too. I do want to make a couple of tiny improvements before he's released, but that's like a 10 minute job. :p

Despite being a little more "traditional" I think these may be my favorites yet! Any idea when these might be up for purchase, I'd like to get as many guys in one batch as possible!
