    Thoughts:

    1) YEEEEEESSS! Seriously, that's one of my most wanted G1 returns and it looks GOOD! If official (See #2) I will buy that at LEAST twice (maybe even more, have to get "Enemy" and the MTMTE generics after all. )

    2) If I had to guess, I'd say he looks official. Both the joints and sculpting seem more Hasbro than "fan project" (Also I feel like a fan project sould have been MUCH more slavish to all the G1 details/designs, where this is more of a creative homage)

    3) He definately TFs, but to what is aweful vague. I guess, I'd guess a Cassette again, though he looks too thick to fit the G1 Soundwave like Ravage did. But who cares really, that robot form sells him to me no matter what he becomes.

If this is "Classics 3.0" (Please be! Please be!), then it's off to a great start.

    *Horrible thought*

What if this is part of a new soundwave but he only comes with one and the other comes with the inevitable repaint... let the bitching commence!

Personally, I would be ok with that. Especially since the inevitable repaint would most likely be Soundblaster, and that is a repaint I would most likely get.

Looking at the picture some more, I don't think the mold transforms into a tape. It definitely has parts to it that homage that, but the alt-mode is most likely something else. What that will be, I'm not sure, but it'll definitely be interesting to see.

Or to have add ons that do the same.

Can't believe there would be an official release for them in Classics when we are at last getting G1 reissues this month (supposedly).

I just checked the user id "tf-op" of hk-tf,searched all threads by this user,8 threads,6 of them about PerfectEffect’s projects(TAW series).
So I believe this one is not official, just some new project from PerfectEffect.

Just curious, what were the topics of the other two? Also, in the six threads, did the poster know that they were PerfectEffect projects? They don't seem to know who's making this figure.

I think there's still a chance this'll turn out to be an official product, but I do have to admit that the chances of that are much more slim now.

Edit: Got Google to, roughtly, translate what the poster said.

Sounds like whoever he got the picture from didn't know where this figure was coming from. I'm not all that familiar with PerfectEffect, but does their stuff leak out like this at first? or are they, like other fan-toy groups, more likely to reveal future projects themselves?

I don't know about the not transforming, looks like his feet fold up, his head would fold back, shoulder fold in, I will have to do a digi-bash later, hopefully we get both pile drivers and lasers, and hopefully both repaints are going to come out at retail.

If it truly is unofficial, then Hasbro and Takara really need to put down the hammer and stop this.

I miss the days when a leaked toy image was always of an official Transformer.

    Well that sucks.

I hope Hasbro has plans to do their own.
