Sounds OK so far.
That's stupid. Why the hell does Nintendo not release all this when they system first comes out instead of milking people formoney by adding a few new features.
The DS is there new gameboy really, even if they don't say it. and they constantly upgraded that thing mainly when price on add ons could be affordable for the consumer. Or so were told
That said I'm very curious about this thing, I may pick one up down the line but only if we can say add tracks from the music folder or something into a game. Perhaps using sd cards and such a future guitar hero or something could use songs from the wii version transferred to ds. The camera thing doesn't interest me too much but I'm curious if it'll be used in any games
SD cards and exchanging data with the wii makes me think of some possible virtual console support.
bet the gba port will be gone though.
I dunno about that a lot of game peripherals use that gba slot, it may be there just not playing gba games
Wouldn't a bigger screen mean worse looking graphics?
Yay, and I just went and bought one about just more than a month ago and now... *groans*
I just bought a brand new one recently. Nintendo needs to have a trade up system when they release it.
EDIT: Holy shit true.
Weird that they'd charge more than the PSP though :/
Cool, but I'm still happy with my Gen 1 DS.
You answered your own question there.
Hey if apple can do it why not them. Atleast they waited more than a year before releasing a redesign.
Ya too? Good to hear I'm not alone XD
See? Sony's not the only one screwin' people over. XD
I'll stick with my DS Lite for now (which has a Micro SD slot, of sorts, anyway!)
i was too then i saw at game stop they had a "trade your old ds for the new ds lite and get $80 credit off the price" and for christmas i got the Gold Zelda ds with Phantom Hourglass...
i know the feeling, i just got my lite for christmas....
Nintendo's not playing around with their handheld market, they're going to keep doing this over and over. Going to make sure that no one can keep up with them. So get used to it
I like my DS brick, but this sounds tempting
Ill stick with my gen 1 PSP. Thanks.
considering the original ds came out in 2004 and the ds lite in 2006, then i don't think it's all that bad. at least it's not a new model every year with hugely noticeable changes like the ipod tends to be. if it still plays all the same games, no one's forcing an upgrade.
Get a DS (lite or not) and an M3 instead. >_>
It's nice that this is coming...but it's not new, and taking the aforementioned advice is cheaper, I believe.
Nintendo REALLY should have done all of that with the FIRST DS model. Dumbasses. That's great, now there's THREE versions of the DS.
