Not sure what to think. To me it looks like they combined the first 3 films! We all know it wasn't Jason hacking up horny teenagers in Part 1 and that he didn't first wear the iconic hockey mask until he kills the prankster Shelly in part 3.

Is this the same one that was shown alongside "Punisher: War Zone?"

The crowd I was in had a mixed reaction to it- most of them were mildly excited upon recognizing it as a Jason film but that turned to shock & horror upon seeing Michael Bay's name attached to it.

That's pretty much it. They said it would go from mommy to sackhead to Ron Hextall all in this movie.

I like the Rambo aspect they're giving him over the supernatural aspect. If its anything like the Amityville Horror remake it should be a vast improvement over the originals.

But the Amityville remake was just as bad, if not worse than the original. It started with such promise, but there were just too many missteps for me to forgive. Jody should never have been a physical character and the explanation (Indian Slaughter, OMG!) was really lame way to explain the occurrences.

The originals were never that good to begin with IMO. Though, I quite enjoyed the Puritan-like Preacher secretly massacred Indians origin of the haunting. SUre, it could have been townsfolk or children, but ritual murder of Indians really makes the connection to the house and land seem more powerful. Plus, they stayed true to the 1970s setting instead of updating like all the rest seem to do. In that sense, I think it stacks up quite well to vast majority of recent horror remakes.

It looks okay. As long as it doesn't turn into the crap fest Rob Zombie's Halloween was, I'll watch it.

I'm still trying to figure out if that chick water skiing was topless. Seems a bit stupid IMO. Why does there seem to be the "need" for senseless skin in horror movies?

Looks like a good movie to me. Honestly, remakes don't bother me, though there have been some that ended up worse than the originals. To a certain degree Texas Chainsaw Massacre came out worse than the original, imo. Here's hoping they can do better with this one.

I'm curious about one thing though, did they use the same like for this movie? I've actually been to the one used for the original movies.
