Available in extremely limited release via Red Rooster's Happy Meal Promo ($5.95 for meal deal, some stores may sell separately), is a series of five new Australian exclusive toys of significantly higher quality than that offered by Burger King. Just went onsale today, and take note of the characters offered. The most highly prized is going to be Frenzy, and I've included a high res photo showing him as a boombox.

I'm going to try and pick up a few for OS collectors (and if anyone wants to swap a full burger king set for a full red rooster set, I'd love to talk). I've listed a MIP on ebay (plug plug plug), which has more pictures of the actual toy for those interested http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250138143702

So the car just opens up to reveal a little robot action figure inside?

In the scheme of fast food toys, I can't say if that's a good thing or a bad thing. :)

    I don't know.
If they go the 'transforming' route then the figure is usually chunky and limited. By giving us two seprate toys they may atually get some decent proportions out of both car & robot instead of making (neccessary) compromises to each mode.

Should point out that he's articulated too (arms and legs), and that the friction drive is really strong when you pull bumblebee back. I'm really looking forward to Frenzy though, as he's the one movie toy we don't have as a boombox.

    Update

I got hold of Bumblebee and Megatron today. Megatron comes in an ice tomb. They are pretty freaking good for little fast food toys. Megatron is probably around 3 inches tall. Sorry for the bad picture quality:

That's not a bad MEGATRON at all - Looks directly based on that first leaked design sheet.

that looks not bad enough to actually make me want to eat fast food by choice.

Megs is surprisingly neat. Some reason I'm getting a Krull vibe from it ;)
