Are these supposed to work better with the ROTF Bruticus or the Energon version?

they have all the connector ports...why would they not combine?

afaik, they just don't come with the upgrade kits that were included with munitioner/explorer...at least from the part description bbts is giving.

 

Do these homage any particular Transformer or are they just new FP characters for the heck of it?

 

I am pretty sure they are modified slightly in the molding as well. How are you sure that the connector ports remains completely intact?

Pics show a cap over Warcry's connector port.

Flameblast's connector port is part of the accessories that seem to not be included.

 

yeah I realize the port on flameblast would require another shoulder part, which don't seem to be included at this point. I was just mentioning that I don't think any of the actual ports on the figure were removed. if you had the necessary combiner parts, you should be able to make them work.

who knows at this point. maybe warcry's cap will be removable and FP will be nice enough to toss in a shoulder part with flameblast to make them work out of the box.

 

These are not meant to combine and are stand alone figures. They are both a homage to a couple of later Micromaster figures from G1. I'm not going to bother to link to the old thread or post the pictures. I used to have the original G1 figures these are based off of years ago. Can't wait. Preordered!

THESE WILL NOT COMBINED! The parts have been removed/replaced.

 

I am hoping that they took out those combiner parts/part of the mold for a better stand alone. As in, maybe a slightly unique and better transformation, etc.

They are homages to the Micromaster Combiners Growl and Fireshot from G1.

 

I was hoping this was the insecticons. Where are those bad boy insecticons?

Now, I'm not saying they won't be removed, but, at thee same time, It'd b pretty damned weird that it's this "to the wire" and FP hasn't released any updated pictures of those parts being removed? That's a pretty substantial mold difference.

My opinion: They'll be released exactly how they look now. I will replace my Nexus Bruticii with them, and, have a Swindle and blastoff as standalone figures on display, which will be GLORIOUS.

 

I wonder if they will come with any bonus accessories... maybe that's why they are priced the way they are?

 

Due out more towards Summer.
