Message to the legendary fans out there, what is your opinion on the fans that just discovered the Transformers brand in 2007? Do you welcome them, do you think they will stay around, how do you feel about them?

Of course I welcome them, they are the future of the franchise, and if they loved the movies as much as I do I'll like them.

Just as long as they remember to respect seniority in that I have first dibs on all cool TFs at the store, I'll tolerate them. j/k, the more the merrier asfa i'm concerned.

New to the boards, but ancient in fandom. I was wondering if the lower price of RotF toys over Animated toys had to do with how well they sale. Seems like some stores have had the same Animated for awhile, and it's been $12.88 for ever as well. I just wondered if the rapid movement of RotF stuff helped places like Wal-Mart keep prices low. Deluxe figures here in Southern Ohio are only $9.00. So if the sudden influx of new toy buying fans keeps the prices low, I hope they stay forever and bring their friends.

Bring em on, we all started somewhere. Elitism in a hobby that revolves around a line of children's toys is a pretty dumb idea, if you ask me.

New fans, old fans, we're all fans.

I don't like it when fans act like self righteous know it alls, and I don't like fans telling me what I should and shouldn't like. So as long as no one does that to me, I really don't mind them.

However it does seem to usually be new fans that act like the preceding description.

actually scratch that, it's new fans who are new members that can't seem to find the 'search' button that I find annoying, lol.

Well, I am pretty disappointed that these movies were considered good enough to bring them in. I would hope that years down the line when there is a reboot of live action movies that they would be on board with a more G1 look and "feel".

If they go that route I suggest they do one based on War Dawn or Divide and Conquer

I personally welcome them and try to tell them all I can to help their love of TF. My sister for one only found out about TF in 2007, but since then has gone back and watched all the episodes and read the comics and such, and now can answer any question you ask her. It really depends on how much they get into it.
