i dont really understand this....does this mean we get Family Guy with different voices???
And apparantly with different characters "Stewis Griffon" included.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand that will probably kill Family Guy.
Don't mind hearing this. Ever since they brought it back from the dead, it's sucked anyway. A death knell doesn't bother me at all.
Yep, FG is dead if this news is true. Although the Flintstones went on for a while after the voice actors changed.
i don't know how they've managed to do this. MacFarlane is the only person who can protray those character voices properly.
maybe they're just going to ask him to contribute the voices for the eps oncethe strike is over
It will be done as an old-timey black and white silent cartoon with cards in between scenes so you know what the hell is going on.
^Now that I'd watch.
I could see them tossing off ONE episode without Seth's voices, there are all kinds of things they could do, but beyond that would just be a noticable change that would really lose a lot of fans.
I don't want to hear anyone make a sad attempt of replicating Quagmire's voice.
That is just bizarre. What a slap in the face by Fox.
$10 says they buy manitees to write the show now.
With practice I used to be able to do a (supposedly) spot-on impression of Brian. Damn now I wish I could still do it. I could get a job as a scab.
Also, this could kill FG imo. Fox likes to tank their own shows.
No, what would possibly make you say that (Driven, FireFly, Brisco County Jr, Sliders, Arrested Development, a slew of other shows that had potential, but Bah, who needs hit shows these days when we have American Idol and other dumbass "reality" shows)?
I am very upset at this decision, a very DUMB move. I may watch the first episode like this to see how bad the voice work is.
Boy, I just can't wait to see what the studios have in store for other shows like Robot Chicken, American Dad, South Park, Heroes, Lost, etc.
Are Trey Parker and Matt Stone even in the Writers Guild? I remember reading something about South Park not being affected by the strike but I can't remember where.
And yeah, I imagine this is it for Family Guy. If Fox pulls something like this wouldn't you think Seth would tell them to go F' themselves and move on to something else? I dunno, maby the money is too good.
South Park is continuing on schedule, Trey and Matt aren't in the writer's guild.
I doubt this'll kill Family Guy, unless if Seth just hates money...which I also doubt...why else would be be striking.
