Prime looks amazing but I'd like to be sure that one hasn't been professionally painted.

I don't think that's professionally painted. Unlike most model kits, the parts are already painted and chromed, and you can see stress marks from the sprue cuts in some places on the assembled figures.

    These do look like un-customised.

The skeleton, red and blue panels, silver/grey parts are in their original plastic color.

One of the photos shows Prime's head is pre-painted, just like the flames.

I'm so looking forward to these kits, but also very nervous. I haven't really built anything except for Kabayas since....80s? :redface2:

Prime's about the size of a leader toy and BB's about the size of a deluxe.

These look so fun, I wish they weren't so expensive. It's too bad, for the price, they don't also come with vehicle mode frames so you could make both modes, sharing most of the pieces between modes...

Glad to hear it's leader sized. I'd hate to spend $120+ on a non-transforming voyager, lol.

From BBTS website translated from the info provided by Takara.

Optimus Prime is 240 millimeters, approximately 9.4 inches tall.

Bumblebee is 120 millimeters, approximately 5.5 inches tall.

Anybody know if the limited battle hooks version also includes the swords (basically this kit with the hooks as a bonus item), or is it just hooks only?

Dumb noob question, but will these model kits require glueing the parts on, or does everything just snap together piece by piece? Sorry if that's been clarified somewhere in a previous thread but I missed that information.
