Maybe it's just me, but starting with Revenge of the Fallen, I've noticed a TON of cowardly Decepticon profiles. I just got Hailstorm today, and it's really made me thing about how many of the new Decepticon profiles they're making out to be weaklings and cowards.
    Brakedown - Scared of Mudflap.
    Crankstart - Hiding from Autobots.
    Dirge - Running scared.
    Hailstorm - Avoids fighting.
Sideways - Another run and hide Decepticon.
    Thrust - Avoids Autobots completely.

There might be more, and it's not a big deal, tho the bio are usually the basis for characterization, but it seems an annoying new trend that so many weaklings and wimps are being written for the Decepticons, while even guys like Mudflap and Skids are given heroic warrior bios.

I miss the days when the bad guys and good guys bios weren't that different, and the good guys had weaknesses (like Silverbolt being afraid of heights!).

I think this is the one major bad effect the movie seems to have had, making weak Decepticons. Anyone else feel this way?

    This is a good point.

The movie bios are so bad I haven't even read half of them- but yes, this not a good thing.

Living with psychos like Brawl, Wreckage, Rampage and Bonecrusher would make you a wuss, too.

Amen. In actual fact, the Movie-verse seems to have given rise to the weakest breed of Decepticons yet - a bunch of characterless mooks who don't even require Autobot foes to suffer defeat.

Well, that's sort of the point of "Hunt for the Decepticons." They're trying to stay on the down low.

Another to the list is Oil Pan, who is apparently "the best at escaping."

You'd be a coward too if you were fighting a war against an army of super-duper-awesome-invincible-badasses.

As someone else pointed out, the storyline behind HFTD lends it's self to cowardly Decepticons.

Welcome to today's Western vision of heroes (brute force with a dark side) and villains (utter cowards) :)

But yeah..I think since the premise of HftD is that they're leftover Cons on a world where Autobots get help from the inhabitants, I reckon most of the leftovers would be the cowards.

Seems to me that Starscream was always a sniveling, back-stabbing coward, and the Decepticons retreated at the end of every episoce.

    I don't see anything new.

Well, in G1 some of those characters weren't so different. Breakdown was a paranoid wreck, Thrust has always be a tough talking sissy-pants, and Dirge originally wasn't much of a fighter anyway (courage being 4). They were cowards to begin with, so nothing has really changed.

Also, if I can use what little bios the PCC figures have, Bombshock betrayed his whole team for power. That takes some brass balls.

If Optimus wanted your face you'd be running and hiding too.

Aside from the heavy-hitters, the 'cons always get antsy when the big M isn't around.

Well they did conquered some parts of Earth in AHM. But it makes sense some of the Cons being cowards. It´s an army of thugs when you look at it. Aside from the Elites and special forces, like the Seekers or the Combaticons.

Yeah, but think about who your team mates are. You don't have Optimus Prime and the Autobots, who care about eachother. Instead you have violent, greedy, sociopathic, ruthless teammates who are willing to destroy an entire race, and anyone else who gets in their way. I'd want to lay low too.

Remmeber movie 1? Brawl fought four Autobots and a military squadron before he was killed, Blackout destroyed an entire military base,Megatron ripped Jazz in half like a toy, Frenzy kills sveral humans, and Starscream takes out two jets, and beats up Ratchet and Ironhide.

In movie two, Demolishor destroys a whole city, Megatron kills Optimus Prime, Clonecrusher kills Elita-1 and possibly Arcee, and Scorponok fatally wounds Jetfire.

Arent the combaticons thugs too ?? only because they have military altmodes it doesnt mean that they are elite soldiers. In G1 Cartoon they were locked in the Decepticon Detention Center also i read on tfwiki that they are Convicted criminals.

Well, the Combaticons are Elite. But when you´re Elites are criminals too, it doesn´t speak highly of your entire army.

Not to mention that they were in a Decepticon jail.
