Any answer that does not consist of "never again" is null and void.

well seeming how it is being filmed in japan. and they're not sure if it is animated or live action, and filmed by a japanese studio.

    then it does have potential.

actually; unless i am mistaking, i think i remember watching a dragon ball live action movie from japan once before.

it was horribly acted, and effects were bad. but it was hilarious :lol

    Fixed that for you.

I seriously hope this isn't another live action movie. That last one was so bad I doubt anyone would want to be a part of or see a new one...

As opposed to the North American Live Action film which was a god-awful nightmare that the community would just assume never happened to begin with. But then trying to milk a franchise that has long run its course in all medium is akin to keeping a train on the rail-line long after its gone off track. Sometimes knowing when to let a Franchise rest is a good thing -- at least until you can take it into a different direction.

Look for me The Dragonball Franchise has always been:

The Manga and Dragonball/Dragonball Z I never cared for the games nor the CDs nor that vast majority of the non-cannon films with the exception of Bardock and Trunks. The North American film failed as a franchise attempt because the Studio did not know how to approach the material to turn it into a summer popcorn action film -- well at least into a sucessful one.

    Dudes! Check the link again!

It's a full blown Akira Toriyama animated video taking place after Buu but presumibly (by me) before Pan and Uub! After the face palming "Return of Goku " (or what ever the one a few years ago was with Tarble ) I am officially stoked!!

THANK YOU SUPER KAMI GURU!!! :D

You're probably thinking about Dragon Ball: The Magic Begins, a live action movie made in China.
As for this movie...I really hope it's not live action. I find if anytime I ever start wondering if Dragon Ball could work in live action, I just have to say "King Kai" to myself and realize what a terrible idea it is.
Of course, there are dozens of other characters that could be used too (Gregory, Chiaotzu, Emperor Pilaf, Shu, etc. etc.) but King Kai's just the easiest to think of.

    EDIT: http://thedaoofdragonball.com/blog/news/new-dragon-ball-film-in-2013/
According to this article, the movie will be animated. Phew.

Nice! Looking forward to another animated movie! The last special a few years ago was just too short!

I'm looking forward to this too, even though another part of me wishes it could just be done along the lines of Gotham Knight instead.
