They have started writing a script to a new Daredevil movie. The guy who wrote the recent version of When The Earth Stood Still is writing the script. Why are they making another Daredevil you ask? Well Fox had to make one or lose the rights back to Marvel/Disney. Which would probably be a better movie. But excprct to see more movies like the Fantastic Four and Ghost rider soon as most of their contracts will run out soon if movies are not made. Blade may even be coming back soon.

More info as I get it

Epic fail imminent! that tool murdered an epic piece of Science Fiction and should be run out of Hollywood for it, along with all who signed off on his script

    I dunno about this.

I think the first Daredevil film (specifically the Directors' Cut edition) was about as good as a Daredevil film could hope to be.

I honestly think Daredevil is a hero who should be left in comics,I just can't see him in a movie.

If it's as good as the Director's Cut of the last one, I'm all in.

    But it won't be.

The original movies directors cut is actually a decent flick. I really don't see a need for another movie jsut yet though, and especially not from that guy if "The Day the Earth Stood Still" is any indication of his ability.

I didn't hate the first one. I'll reserve judgment until I see it.

I don't know Daredevil is one of my all time favorite marvel heroes. Maybe this is a good thing and will turn out like the Hulk remake.

Oh please, don't you think you're be a tad hyperbolic. It's just as entertaining as the original, and the writer certainly didn't "murder" an so-called epic piece of science fiction, which without it's Cold War allegory people would a shit movie. The person that could be said to have "murdered" that film was Will Smith's son. Erase him from the film, and it would have been much better.

And as for Daredevil...meh. I'll watch it either way, but honestly I can't work up enough emotion to get either excited or mad.

If I heard this was done by Marvel/Disney, I would be stoked.
    Now?
Ehh... I don't know. I felt that first Daredevil was all right, with some questionable casting (Garner as Elektra didn't sit well with me). But I guess we'll see.

This might be crazy, but I think I'll wait for a preview before I form an opinion on if it looks good or not. If it looks good, I'll see it. If it doesn't look good, I won't.

so it will be a reboot&sequel at the same time just like what happened with "The Punisher: War Zone" & is currently happening with "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance"

I can understand that, but Man With Out Fear would be better, it would be more of a batman begins/first class type story

it's really a shame Disney can't find some other loophole in the contracts Marvel made with Sony, Fox, and whoever else has the rights to their other properties. it would be an amazing thing to have all these different franchises in one semi-cohesive universe. I'm not talking giant super hero team up... the costs for the actors alone would be astronomical let alone special effects, but just being able to have some nods here and there or a cameo for a scene or two would be amazing.

Plus having Marvel in direct control of their own franchises would definitely have a boost in quality. I'm looking at you Fantastic Four and Ghost Rider..

Ugh, I was REALLY hoping Marvel would get the rights back, after the lackluster first attempt and the years that went by since that movie was released in theatre. Seems like Fox right now would make a movie just so they can keep the rights, instead of making it for the right reasons.

Ghost Rider was good… sort of… in a B-movie sort of way. The Fantastic Four movies on the other hand were awful they totally missed the mark on those. The original Daredevil movie had it’s moments but it didn’t help that they had Ben Affleck as Daredevil in the costume as of course he can’t fight and that makes pretty much all the action scenes in the movie unwatchable.

I’ve discussed this with some of my friends and it seems for every good recent movie based on comic books there’s at least one that you would never want to watch let alone mention again. X-Men Origins: Wolverine comes to mind. :(
