Stopped in a Big Lots today, and found quite a new crop of bootlegs. Quite a LOT of Armada Prime variants, too. First ones, loosely based on Alternators. They only had one, but there's clearly a Hound-based one as well, and a couple others shown on the back. Seonc is a set of combiner sets, some of which have been bootlegged previously at Big Lots. And finally, a MESS of Armada Optimus bootlegs. They all have fused knees, and the gauntlets are locked in robot mode position. But the elbows bend. I think. The variants include dump truck, bucket lift truck, crane truck (using a bootleg of Hook's crane arm, I think oversized), cement mixer, power shovel truck, an apparant double-arm tow truck, and a variation of the power-shovel truck with a jackhammer attachment instead, and an interchangable claw attachment too.
I didn't buy any, no, I basically swore off bootlegs/KOs long ago, personally. Don't think anyone really paid attention to me in the store. As far as the pseudo-alts go, they're not mini in the least. Quite large, in fact, probably about the same height as a real Alt.
Cool. I might have to go out to Big Lots again to see if they have those new ones or not. The combiners and Prime's have actually already been seen before. I have on of those combiners, though I did buy them seperateley (it was cheaper than buying them together). Personally, I hope I see a KO of Classics Jetfire and RG High Score 100 there the next time I go, so I don't have to look for the Jetfire one online, and so I don't have to get a 2nd High Score just for the head, though the chance that I'll see KO's of them when I do go, is very unlikely.
All of those have been out for awhile, but hav'nt seen the buggy bots yet. Did you see the G1 ko's , they suck but are pretty cool lol If you see a mini Devastator, he' sworth getting IMO. Ha! Garbage Truck Optimus is kind of cute... always wanted a garbage truck Transformer. The other Bendy Prime variations might be useful for Constructicon kitbashes. Volkswagen Buggy-Bot is just a sad reminder that there was never a real VW Bumblebee Alternator. Sigh.

If you guys want a God Mars, you should hold out for the Soul of Chogokin version coming out in 2008. http://www.toyskingdom.com.hk/forum/viewthread.php?tid=9299&extra=page=1&page=3 Then again, that's like saying "don't get that pencil, get this laser printer instead!" The KO looks kinda neat though. I wonder if the center body opens up for the smaller guy to lock in?
knock Ah the knock offs, I was very tempted by the small version of RatTrap I saw a while back in Big Lots, it was the first I had seen, not the large Trans metal KO, But I had to refrain.
I still don't get why all the Optimus knockoffs need red/blue lightbars. And is it possible to take the body off of them and put it on regular bendy Prime? or is it somehow permanently fused to stiffy there?
