Just did some research and the tail number on the FAB Jetfire, 17972, is the same tail number as the one on display in the Smithsonian. This is the aircraft that set the Trans-Atlantic speed record in 1974. Looks like that's a confirmation that they find Jetfire in the Smithsonian. The tail symbol on the actual aircraft is the same as the one on the FAB just without the decepticon symbol.
well now we know he is in the museum we which we kinda knew, but teh speed record, does that meant the balckbird they break teh record in is jetfire or does he dispose of the original and take its place?
Yeah something we already knew, but it is good to have more concrete confirmation. Not to mention to know that the designers/writers are noting these kinda details.
Oddly enough, if Jetfire is the one piloted for the speed record, that would mean that the record is held by an alien life form and not a human-built construct. Hmmmmm... He could have probably gone faster, but try explaining to the military leaders why the pilot looked like scrambled eggs when the plane landed.
maybe the military know he is a bot and it was sector seven agents who broke the record using jetfire but then he ate soem bad chicken and went into stasis lock so they shoved him in the smithsonian
nah, chicken wouldn't take jetfire down. he looks like a bot who can hold his salmonella. probably downed a few too many at the post-record-setting party and is just sleeping off the hangover.
Does this mean hes going to sound like Abe Simpson? I still think Ernest Borgnigne would have been a good choice for his voice but hes like 150 now or something
Even better- Herbert from Family Guy. That's make the possibility of a 'special' friendship with Weelie. "Hey there little fella. Want to buff my cane?"
I really like the way the writers are taking notice of such detail. Also lol at Jetfire been the one to set the Trans-Atlantic speed record in 1974!!!!!!
I just hope he doesn't have a cane....why would a robot that can turn into anything have a cane? Or age? Ah!
Go ask old man Kup from G1. Seriously, maybe he just never got himself fixed or upgraded and hence needs something to keep him steady in robot mode. Machinery gets old too, not in the same way as something biological but it does.
But remember, Blackout also had the tail number, 4500X, of the chopper that was shot down in the first movie. I honestly think that Jetfire is the bot in the Smithsonian, but I just figured Id throw this out there.
Real machines get rusty and operate slower as they get older. Why not robots that are already EXTREMELY similar to humans? also cane is good for old damaged ppl, like jetfiur
