That's just AWESOME right there. :)  Think of it, if my Wii Remote is low on battery, I could just use my shirt and recharge it. Brilliant!

you could have flags that generate power blowing in the wind to charge security lights. a convertable top on a car that charges a electric car to assist in increasing distance driving. Wow, this has allot of potential. And the medical uses are amazing in itself.

This is my favorite part. Battery technology has been one of the biggest barriers to implementing some of the concepts of the "Future Warrior" program. Something like this could really help that.
I'm curious, what kind of medical uses do you foresee with this?

Not being combative--but nothing comes to my mind offhand, and I'm just genuinely curious.

Powering pacemakers - that would be terrific. (My mom's pacemaker is draining too quickly for some stupid reason. Grr.)

"just keep moving if you want to live"

An interesting concept. It'll be neat to see if anything comes of it.

I saw this (or a similar article) earlier. I think it's hella cool. Keep your cellphone charged by hooking it up to your pants. Just have the adapter in your pocket.

It will be quite a long time before this is cost effective.
