The anime cut-scenes better have an improved frame rate over the PS1 version. they were choppy and painful to watch in that.

I saw on IGN that for old school feel you could also turn off the anime cutscenes and restore the original sprite animations which is an awesome little touch, I think. I'm REALLY looking forward to this... and now I'm wondering what this lost area is.

This is what I was waiting for. I still have the original and everything else being offered in this re-release really wasn't pushing me to buy but this is the one thing I wanted. A reason to replay on my DS. A pity I have to smash my face into the little screens though. I wish this would've been released on the Wii or PS2 so I could get some big screen enjoyment out of the new stuff....

GameFAQs lists the release date as November 25th so not THAT long. But in the meantime if you're a strategy RPG fan, Disgaea DS is a fantastic game.

Yeah, I was looking to get that but I'm not too much of a strategy RPG gamer. But it does look good... hmmm..

It's much more lighthearted than most strategy RPGs, it doesn't take itself seriously at all. 4th wall breaking, penguins for grunts, and there's no Level 99 cap (It's 999), a nice touch is all the voice acting from the PSX version is still in the game.

Initially I was questioning getting this. It's one of my favorite games but I have it, and generally don't care about added grind dungeons like they added to the FF games. However, these additions sound really promising and sold me on it.

Valkysas- Totally agree about the video framerate. I remember thinking there was something wrong with my PS when I first watched the intro.

Even if it does end up moving better, the compression will negate that by looking like ass, like on Revant Wing's opening.
