Lorenzo is probably the biggest reason I'm not rushing to be convinced by a heartwarming trailer and whatever promises of greatness are being made. I'm honestly being hopeful. Bumblebee can prove many of the things that many people have been asking from the franchise and open some new creative directions. But, after all, it's still a bayverse spinoff, produced by the same people, written by people from the writers' room that brought us TLK, featuring a version of Bay's Bumblebee. I want to believe in Travis Knight and I hope he delivers something that leads the way to greater things, but, in all honesty, there's still too much luggage from the past for me to be convinced it's a "new beginning" in any more meaningful way than AOE was. A director, however great he might be, is only one cog in the machine, however integral it is. I don't want to be let down again. And I wouldn't like Bumblebee, however well made it might be, to be their way of slying out of the consequences of their failures and creating something truly new, from the ground up.

The more you push something, the more screen time you give something & the more repetition you pump into a human's brain, the more you control them. Before 2007 Bumblebee as nothing. Now 11 years later look where we are. Bumblebee has been forced on the population, he has been on every piece of merchandise, in the Bay movies he was made as powerful as Optimus Prime when he was only supposed to be a scout & he has taken over the animated shows in Prime, RID & the upcoming Cyberverse. Nobody gave the slightest shit about Bumblebee before 2007, but now through over saturation & repetition everybody has been brainwashed. They think they love Bumblebee, they think Bumblebee is their favorite character because they have no mind of their own & are easily brainwashed & manipulated. That's how advertising works. That's how cults brainwash their members. Majority of humans are weak minded fools that can't think for themselves & are easily manipulated. Taking the blue pill & wasting their pathetic lives plugged into the matrix. Back in the day we only had ads on TV. Now we have constant advertising everywhere. It's impossible to escape the constant brainwashing through advertising. People don't love Bumblebee, people are mindless zombies!

Honestly, it depends on what kind of let down you are expecting. I know I was let down by TLK's failure to explore new concepts as well in comparison with the 2007 movie which was an exciting start at the time.

And I know I don't like how they're handling Batman in the DCEU but I still want to see what his movie would be like under certain hands. After all, you never know... They made Thor's character more lighthearted and comedic in Ragnarok compared to the other Thor movies within the same universe.
