I have to say I dig the WFC/FOC aesthetic. It's alien, but still the character are easy to recognize. Is it just me of does Megatron's alt mode look like the microscopic crab form of the monster, Destoroyah. In which I find kinda cool. Now the name Slug doesn't bother me as much we know its Slag, but I understand why the reason to change it and besides his name Slug means hard blow or hit so I think that works for him because well in triceratop mode he hits hard. LOL

 

That's the silliest name change I've ever heard of, it makes sense... bu I mean really... slag was the remains of iron-made bullets and weapons from decades ago. They had to use small streams to utilitize the water power to power the machinery to make the stuff. My grandfather used to take me to an area that used to be an area where they made weapons for the Civil War... and there's slag remnants all over the ground on the river banks. I wish I could find that place again... my mom threw out my old "rock collection" eons ago, and it had my slag mixed in with it! I hate being nearly 40... once I find some slag again, I'll knock her in the head!   But we can thank the vulgarities of other countries for changing poor Slag's name I guess.... oh well. Perverts!  

 

I hate the Dinobots because they talk stupid. But DAMN! They look really great! Grimlock looks nasty!...in the good way! Maybe I'll start to like em if this game makes em cool. All these look amazing.

Overall, I'm really liking these designs - characters and environments.

It's really interesting that bits of the Prime cartoon designs are being integrated, like Prime's cannon and Megatron's jet mode.

Slug? Really? Just change the name to 'insert whatever lame, non-offensive name' in the countries who are offended by a 30 year old name that just happens to be the same word as an offensive one.

And I expect toys of everything. No exceptions or excuses.

 

When I look at Bruticus,all I see is another one of those tanks that we had to fight in WFC. I'm digging the design for him so far,but if it wasn't for the fact that we saw him combine in the trailer,I would have cast him off as another one of those tanks.

Wow, that is awesome! I really hope they make toys of those, but especially of Grimlock and Shockwave. He's a cannon with wings for crying out loud!
