Has it been confirmed that the Botcon Divebomb is pre-BW Airrazor? Will pre-BW Tigatron also be addressed since they've already addressed the other Maximals...

The organizers of Botcon said that whatever PRE-Beast Wars molds used for those figures would be Cybertron figures. Of course, that doesn't explain waspinator. Also, when there was a thread about the divebombs being terrorsaur and air razor, they basically said that this mold is not for those characters. Take it for what it's worth, but that's what I was told.

Not quite.

They said the boxed set (Primal, Rhinox, Cheetor, Rattrap, and Rhinox) would be Cybertron molds. And, as we've seen, they are.

Edit: also, pre-earth modes doesn't mean non beast modes... look at the casseticons, they have a beast mode, cybertronian, but nevertheless.. beast mode

 

It still doesnt confirm that these toys are the real deal. Just because he says it BotCon stuff doesnt mean its true. So unless faithintoyz is known for being someone with insider contacts or something similar, this should be treated as an "maybe" and/or "rumor" at best. Not that i discredit anyone, but it would be nice to get some more confirmation from someone else as well.

But as I said, if faithintoyz is someone with contacts and has proven his cred before in previous situations, I will withdraw my skepticism.

 

 

Airrazor can't have a Pre-earth mode.

The axalon was filled with Sparks pulled firectly from the ALLSPARK put into protoforms. So Airrazor, tigatron, Black Arachnina, inferno... and so on had no pre-earth modes as they did not exist pre-earth.

And the other repaints are just to good for them to make a semi-ugly apple red/purple repaint for terrorsaur.

I stand corrected. However, as I further pressed questions, as did some at the TFClub site, the divebomb mold is not considered a vehicle so it wouldn't be used for a pre-beast wars mode figure. I do however still believe these will turn out to be buzzsaw and laserbeak.

 

Isn't Laserbeak the only cassette that we saw before the Transformers came to Earth? I thought he transformed into some shuttlecraft-looking thing, nothing remotely beastlike.

If the Dreamwave or IDW comics did something different with the cassettes, I don't know, I haven't read them.

 

I'm not 100% certain that the Divebombs are BotCon toys, but Rik and Pete were awfully coy about them.

And I don't know what else a jet in Waspinator's colors with tampoed Pred symbols is likely to be, given the already-known BC'06 exclusives. (I seriously doubt it's for a 4th round of BW10, as the line seems not to be selling so well.)

 

I consider the cartoon appearance of lasebeak has a cybertronian bird.. dunno if i'm right.

On dreamwave comics he had the same mode but ravage was a beast kinda thingy, not a jaguar like in g1, but not a "normal robot either" megatron even pets him.. so i go wth the "he's a cybertronian beat thingy"
