That's a cool toy - I really like the face. Colors could be less bright, though.

I think he has fists - look in the arms, you can see some grey parts under that.

I should really get the old Microman Binocular-bot first, though...

With the new taobao pic, it's confirmed: he is at least 98.3% awesome! (The other 1.7% will be decided once it's revealed whether his shoulders have forward/backward motion.) I can't wait for these guys!

Meanwhile, I still never understand the hate for yellow. I wouldn't want EVERY TF to be that color, mind. But I LIKE yellow. And it fits here -- this guy is styled like "active" or "sports" binocs.

Nice. Looks like the transformation is a bit more complex then one would first think. The main shocker is the part circled in red - you would think that hinge would be around his head area but it's actually his crotch! Also the array of buttons on top of his binoculars mode look like they end up on his back and I think you can see that the name "Longview" ends up on his left leg as expected.

 

Huh. You're right! That pretty much confirms the shoulders have full front/back rotation in bot mode.

That settles it -- 100% awesome!

 

I have decided that this guy is absolutely fantastico. I'm totally digging this subline of "real-robots."

 

Wow...I wonder how top hinge winds up being his crotch area. I guess his arms and legs do a swap-around. His arms move up to the top, and his legs come down where the arms were....somehow.

 

Hot-DAMN, this is the best looking gadgetformer next to Soundwave! Down with vehicles!
