So I'm about to order the new Binaltechs, and I've heard mixed things about them, but not much in total. There might be a thread on this already, but how do most of you feel about the toys? Please post reviews for me here... either yours, or any you might know of from the web. I'm hearing of almost KO-level Quality Control issues, and I'm hesitant now.
Well, my BT-19 Bluestreak came with a nice big gash on his spoiler along with many other blemishes and paint chips all over him. Plus, when I transformed him to 'bot mode, he wobbled a lot at the waist to the point where he wouldn't stand up straight. So, I'm sending him back to BBTS for an exchange. Hopefully, the new one I get will be in better condition. I didn't get the silver Jazz so I don't know about the QC on him.
I can't say at this point because I have yet to receive my 5th Alt/BT figure with the Subaru mold. Hopefully mine is in pretty good condition.
Yeah the QC on my Bluestreak was pretty weak. The paint was uneven, chipped, and there is even a paint spill on my tail-light. Material and casting wise they are on par with the originals and still superior to KO's.
I was checking 2 of each at a hobby shop here, paintjob's a big meh. I'm usually not picky about hairline scratches and smudges but when it's appearing in such plain colour on diecast it looks downright fugly. I'm sure there's still hope, just be sure to check 'em thoroughly before committing.
interesting, i was selling them at the anime expo, they looked fine to me, maybe cuz it was still in packaging?
yeah, once you open it, you'll see the issues.. Mine has the sharp edge on the back bumper... and that was the best I can find among 20's of the BT19 that I see in a toy shop.. mostly have uneven paint apps... quite disapointed.
Think I might be glad I skipped out on these at the last minute for KO Insecticons and Reflector, I'd have been more than a little upset.
