The idea that Hasbro would take the time to give BW a Netflix show while the closest we've been to a remotely IDW/G1-ish show has been that Machinima CW bullsh*t (Which recently confirmed of a second season) would leave a lot people.............................annoyed!

I can see Netflix wanting this more than the current regime at Hasbro. (A name that my autocorrect insists on retyping as Has broken.) Warden has referred to Beast Wars as the dark ages for Transformers. A comment that has been made without explanation or context.

(I suspect that it had more to do with Hasbro closing down the entire Boys Toys division in Pawtucket and shipping the major boys lines down to Kenner in Cincinnati more than the series content. Anyone with an arctic room temperature IQ can see how well written and well thought out the Beast era was. At least until they moved Boys Toys back to RI and let Fox Kids fire Bob & Larry off of BM without paying them for that new show's story bible.)

Frankly, I'd prefer to see the show Bob & Larry had planned for the follow up to Beast Wars and just put the behind the scenes CF that was Beast Machines behind us forever.

    This.

We've already gotten a taste of how easily it can be butchered with IDW's 2 mini series, The Gathering & Ascension. I'm not eager to see a show come along & give it the Combiner Wars treatment.

any amount of basic google research will show you there is no other word on this other than this sole click bait article. Hasbro and/or Netflix would have announced it and more credible sources would have picked it up. I'm starting to see this bullshit spread to twitter and FB.

I'm a little surprised at how people are saying "clickbait" like that's the end of the argument. Clickbait could be true.

This is simply fake. A cynical attempt to grab revenue via clickbait tactics.

But the reasons it's implausible (in the extreme!) have little to do with the fact that it's clickbait.

It could be a new Beast Wars sequel series that ignores Beast Machines, but we don't know for now.

The words 'Beast Wars Uprising' and 'critical acclaim' got me very worried.

I know there are a few duds in there, and yeah sometimes his writing gets just a little too geeky, but come on.
You didnt enjoy Intersectionality, Identity Politics, Derailment ?
That stuff rivals Roberts at his best in my book.

And yeah, i know critics and i know this franchise, so critical acclaim AND high ratings where hyperbole :p
But i still think if done with care, an adaptation could be a succes.

Yeah, but Beast wars has the better mainstream appeal than the comics, cause more people have seen the show than read them. I mean it's fake, but it would make sense.

    "Better Mainstream appeal"?

Last time I checked the Generation's line had more inspiration from IDW than BW. And since Hasbro isn't into doing people favors as much as they are raising their bottom line, I'm going to go with IDW/G1 being the more prominent breadwinner. Hell I wouldn't even know who Rattrap was if it weren't for IDW.
