This miniseries can NOT get any shittier. the story, pacing, characterization, and art are all as terrible as it can get.
One thing I did like (but I'm not sure if it was even intentional) is the hilarious Civil-War-Paranoid-Tony act of building a giant f'n Iron Man suit JUST IN CASE giant transforming robot aliens invade. "Alright, I've cloned Thor, built the giant robot suit, and prepared the mind control saddles in case those day-glo talking ponies show up."
I was thinking Doombot as well. Ramjet was probably the best part of the issue. Prowl is a dick. I wouldn't mind a Transformer-Buster Suit Iron Man figure either.
There are alot of huge bad guys in the Marvel universe, so Iron Man already having a giant suit makes sense. He has hundreds of suits we have never seen yet. He's always been obsessive compulsive about his armors.
I didn't have high hopes for this cross-over when I heard about it. Now that I've read three issues, I'm amazed that the series is worse than I thought it would be.
I don't know, I think it's pretty decent. Not great, mind you, but not horrid. Just moving a bit slower than I'd like, and a bit of the TF dialogue seems a tad off.
Yeah, I'm so glad I passed this series up...all the Tf crossovers have pretty much sucked to me. I kinda like the Ed Mcguiness ironman/skywarp cover though.
The key to any crossover, IMHO, is that you have good character interaction between characters you normally wouldn't get to see interact. The Joker being scared shitless as the Punisher points a gun at his head is a good example. Now, this series has had some nice character moments I think. Problem is, they've been between Avengers. If this series had better Avengers/TF interaction (which is, you know, the point), I wouldn't give a crap about the plot or the pacing.
