I would've loved to start a new thread, but it would've been merged wit this thread eventually. Yes. It's real all right. Why else wold we have a trailer, an intervew with info about the series , and a couple of posters like the ones below?
Apparently what Marvel is doing is making their shows entirely on their own and then selling them to TV networks to actually air them. It allows them complete creative freedom and total control over their series so they can do what they want how they want it. Basically, where TF:A and even Spectacular Spiderman were cut short due to the Network involvement and just not wanting to make more of a series, new cartoons made by Marvel themselves won't ever fall victim to something like that. Even if their current network stops airing their cartoon, they can just pick it up and move it to a different channel. I believe they did the same thing with their Fantastic Four cartoon, where it was originally on Cartoon Network, but they dropped it. So Nicktoons picked it up and even started showing new episodes that didn't air on CN. A lot of great cartoons were cut short due to networks choosing to pull the plug, but Marvel is just going to make it themselves and sell it to whatever network gives them the best offer. Though I'm sure it won't be long until all new marvel cartoons are Disney channl/XD exclusives.
They're starting with the classic line-up and eventually add new members just like the comic. This might be as good as JL/U. We'll see.
I could easily guess the Five Man Band in the poster Hero- Captain America Lancer- Iron Man Smart Guy- Hank Pym Big Guy- Thor Chick- Wasp Sixth Ranger-Hulk
Too bad I don't get DisneyXD. I heard it's already got an order of 52 episodes, I don't know if that's just how many have been ordered now or if that will be all the episodes for the entire series but still that's a good crop of episodes. Hopefully the series will be more darker and sort of an equivalent to JLU, espicially since the Superhero Squad Show already fills the bill for a kiddy team up show
Because when Iron Man in Superhero Squad states he would consider sleeping alone with She-Hulk truly qualifies kiddy material. Also, read up Phil LaMarr's interview a page or two back to find ou the tone of the show.
New Images and Info Comics Continuum by Rob Allstetter: Sunday, April 18, 2010 I'm liking the look of the series.
Baron Strucker, Arnim Zola, and the Red Skull? Man, lot of fascists gonna be villains in this one. Hopefully they won't neuter tham too much in the execution. Still, I guess it'll be nice to see some classic Avengers villains done with less of en eye towards "modernizing" them. Really, it's all down to the writing if this will be good enough, the artwork is as serviceable as anything else I've seen. - Coeloptera
Greg Johnson and his writing team who is known for their recent Marvel animations stuff is going to do the writing. So, I have very little concerns. I just hope media politics doesn't can it before it reaches it's potential.
