hi, Im trying to do a new devastator out of die cast cars but this time the ROTF one (the G1 was repainted and redone but havent take the pics of it) this is the pic I have been using for reference
    [IMG]

so far I have worked only the head and gathered all the pieces I think Ill need. This one wont transform (Dont feel capable of doing such task yet) but Ill try to make it as close as possible to the original.
This part of the head was made with some legos, some wheels and electric cable wires
    [IMG]
the front of the face was done with parts of these castings
    [IMG]
and a majorete cement mixer tank cut for the covers
    [IMG]
added the top eyes, not sure if Ill make them turn on with led or just lightpipes

VERY creative. To be able to "see" Devastators face by utilizing several different cars is quite awesome!

thanks for the comments, I was working on scavenger today and realized that the picture Im using for reference wont help me to get the details I want, nd the toys dont lock anything like the pic so I will do my best to get it somehow in between the toy legend and the illustration one

the scavenger had to be built from scratch cause I have no way to find a die cast one similar to it, so these are some of the pieces Ill use

of course I dont need to assembly it complete cause Ill still have to cut it in parts to form devastator shoulders, but at lest I hnow that if it would transform it would have all the pieces it need to be a regular vehicle

now fixin the head into mixmaster

for those that has asked me how to remove rivets and cut die cast here are some reference pics

and finally how the shoulders will look like (minus some accesories)

This is amazing - transform or not, you are holding the beginning of something truly outside the box --- watching this with baited breath....

thanks again, tonight I made a little more with a couple of lifters, the intention wasnt to incluide them in the devastator as they are but to use them for the shoulders and elbows articulations, here are pics of what I did and how I did it. right now im having a hard time thinking how to solve the waist part (cannot find pictures that help me figure it out)
