hey All, Just a fanfilm I did based one a few of the Transformers Classics I have.
Mixed in a some G1 and Revoltech just to make the shots work. Some of its rough, but you'll get the point.

note* the audio is not finished, I dont have any voices for optimus or starscream, but if any of you can suggest or send me sound clips that would fit that would be great, I'll give credit to you.

anyways here it is. WATCH HERE

Neato! If only it had some voices for Prime and Megs, as you stated, it would've been even better.

    That was great.

Just a few questions - how long did it take you? What software did you use? And how did you shoot it (backgrounds etc)?

That was awesome! I did some stop motion animation in college and it was fun. Time consuming but fun!

I was really hoping, once Grimmy was dragging megs by his head, that he'd transform like that so that he'd have one foot stomping his face. Very slick animation though. 2-pack prime is great for poseability.

I didnt bother counting the hours. I spend most of Saturday AfternoonEvening Animating it. then the next day, most of the day editing it putting it all together. Some things I had to redo cause the software was messing things up, but its all good now. I took a 360 photo of a desert I googled, then cut it in sections to give some variation. I'm pretty much done it. so Im happy about that, if anyone can provide me with some voice samples that i could possibly use. let me know.

    thanks for the comments.

Doing voices for this kind of thing would be cool to do - any tips on how to get TF effects on sound samples?

If we get that sussed, I think I would be willing to do some!

Really nice work. I liked the desert setting and the animation and transformations were very smooth. Please keep it up.

    Very nice indeed :D
Your animations tend to keep a very high quality, the movements are very natural!
And I suppose that you used a greenscreen for the background?

yeah , it was tricky getting it to workproperly, I needed a better set up for lighting, so it would have been easier to composite. The green would reflect on to the characters in the wrong spot. you can still see some outlines. but oh well, it was just for fun.

That looks like a good start...
Needs more work though, The backgrounds needs to interact with the characters, mainly with shadows.

PM me if you need advice on compositing.

Keep up the good job! :thumb
