I was in TRU today and they had an exclusive animated ironhide. I looked at the back of the package, and the cross promotion pictures were of a Swindle re-paint (in mostly black), a Blurr re-paint (also in mostly black, I believe) and a Bumblebee repaint (in green/yellow). I was curious if anyone knows whether or not these figures are planned for release anywhere yet. I searched for a thread (here and in the rumors thread), but couldn't find one. If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd be interested in reading up on the subject. Thanks!

    Ok. Thanks for the alert.

Be that as it may, if there's any thread discussing these figures that someone could point me to, I'd appreciate it.

Sadly Animated seems to have run it's course in the US.

This thread has a list of all those figures that were planned but were never released. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-toy-discussion/271182-whats-left-animated.html It was also featured in the end pages of the Allspark Almanac II, along with those figures who never came to be as they were in the prototype stages, including the incredible Marauder Megatron.

While the new molds that were completed did find an avenue in Japan (Blackout, Wingblade Prime, Hydrodive BB), the repaints were left by the wayside.

Ironhide's cardback was designed prior to the abandoning of the toyline by most retailers. Because of that, both he, Rodimus, and the prior exclusive batch (Arcee and Ratchet) featured toys that were PLANNED for release, but cancelled. Due to the nature of his release, Hasbro just shipped him out without changing the cardback (which would have cost time and money to do)

So yeah, they aren't coming anytime soon, if ever
