Trailers & Clips: Alice in Wonderland (2010) - Trailer #2
movie looks awesome but i still really, REALLY hate the look of the mad hatter. looks more like a crazy bozo the clown but whatever.
Looks really good. I have to admit that it's taken a little bit of time for me to get used to the look of the Mad Hatter, but it's at least tolerable now. I still find it odd that he looks so much like a clown. Especially since Johnny Depp is afraid of clowns.
I find it interesting that this is more of a sequel than a remake. Not a bad thing, but wasn't expecting it.
I have to say, I love every animal character designs so far. White Rabbit, March Hare (SCOTISH WTF), Cheshire Cat, and even the Catapillar (Not in trailer).
I'm pretty much gonna go see this entirely on the account that Stephen Fry's voice is brilliant.
Ohhh. Kinda neat. I had only seen stills before this and hadn't gotten the greatest impression from them, but now it looks pretty awesome.
The Mad Hatter is fruity as all hell, but otherwise this movie looks kinda cool.
Wow, doesn't look that great IMHO.
The playing card soldiers look pretty cool.
I agree...when i heard his voice as the narrator in the game LittleBig Planet...i was loving it
Stephen Fry FTW
him..Alan Rickman and Johnny Depp are why i must see this movie
I really hate Tim Burton. His directing style always is the same, and whenever he makes a movie he feels the need to distort the characters to be creepy and almost stoner-like. The only one's he's ever done right IMO are Batman, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Ed Wood.
Also, he casts Johnny Depp in almost everything he does. I know their friends but crap, expand you're casting range Burton.
I've having very strong Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory flashbacks here.
...How did that turn out again?
a $200 million dollar hit?
A better adaptation of the source? Unfortunate that the crappy version is so ingrained in the public mind?
That and Christopher Lee's Jabberwock!!!
Since both Burton and Depp is about finish with AIW, maybe now they can start to work filming Dark Shadows.
But there has been reports that Burton wants to start working on Frankenweenie and Depp with Pirates 4.
So. Watching. This.
It may have been a better adaptation content-wise, but the original was much closer tonally. Plus, really man, would you really diss on Gene Wilder? Don't get me wrong, I like Burton's version, it just wasn't quite there for me.
Alice, I can see going either way. His surreal style works for Alice, and I would like to see a darker take.
I think the point is that Charlie and the Chocolate Factory wasn't just some remake of the beloved Gene Wilder version (which I love more too) and it also wasn't a flop by any means.
Hrmn. Mixed feelings about this. Could be interesting, but a sequel? Really?
And I suppose this pretty much kills all hope for an American McGee's Alice movie. Ah well.
