Objectively speaking, that's a pretty terrible, chaotic color scheme (especially in plane mode). Subjectively speaking, I like the mold, and he's a Seeker, so I'm still getting him. (But think how much better he would have looked if the mustard color were richer and used more sparingly, if the shoulders were black, and if the pink were a more muted color. Oh well.) Still odd that they chose to make Dirge rather than one of the three remaining Starscream clones from the show. Hopefully the others will still show up at some point, in one size class or another.
It wouldn't look so bad if that brown/yellow wasn't so dominant in jet mode... or if they actually used a Starscream clone that was actually in the show. This is the third blue Activator seeker in a row, would it kill you to throw in Sunstorm or Ramjet instead?
Wow, what a disgusting combination of colors that I find myself liking very much for reasons I don't quite understand. We're entering Action Master Thundercracker levels of bad color combinations.
Not completely up on TFA stuff, but doesn't that make three versions of this mold, all of which are predominantly blue? For all we hear about the importance of having a lot of variety on the shelves, that seems an unusual choice.
Yeah, I had wondered about this as well. It does seem strange, especially when there was a white jet, a yellow jet, and a purple/teal jet still to choose from. And if non-show characters are in play, they could have even done a red one as Thrust. Yet they go for a third blue version of the mold? Just weird. Feels like an error that slipped past marketing.
