QFT my issue with the d-pads is that it is just not designed well for being pressed. today even; there were three times while i was playing COD4 where i was trying to switch to claymores and wound up with my night vision on instead. although that did save my life one time because a guy came around a corner right when it happened. i would have been defenseless. in every game i play...i'll press the direction i want to, then the controller decides which direction it feels like going.
Its interesting, but Ive never had any beef with the D-pad since the nintendo days. I actually opposed the analog stick when I first heard it way back when.
Oh. But to be honest, I never really had any problems with the D-pad since I got my 360 5 months ago. So, maybe it's just me, but Microsoft must be REALLY good at making the D-pad so different, it's the exact same just to fool my eyes.
It's about what's underneath. Try playing Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat on that POS stock D-pad and be amazed.
