All I remember from that show is that the narrator for the theme song sounds like Fred Schneider of the B-52s.

YTV showed this in canada during the 90's "anime boom". Never got into it, but my wife and her brother (who are a bit younger) watched it quite often.

^ hate to be 'that guy' but, sauce?

My only complaint with this, is that the sub and dub are two releases. As this is a show that had an absurd dub but I'd love to actually watch it with subs. I'm guessing that's due to the fact that 2 whole eps were cut from the dub.

Can't post direct links as the article headings link to facebook galleries for some reason.

The Samurai Pizza Cats! They're so rad! They've got more fur, than any turtle ever had!

The english dub is notable because they essentially just made it up as they went along, and it doesn't really fit with the Japanese version. It's crazy, but really fun. And the voice of G1 Tracks was one of the guys behind it.

There's a reason it's two releases. The US episodes had to be edited a bit. Also, don't worry about the cut episodes. They were just clip shows.

About the dub. There's also a reason for it being a parody, instead of a straight adaption. When the show was shipped to them from Japan, both the scripts and audio were lost in transit. By the time they arrived, there wasn't enough time to have replacements shipped, so they had to make everything up on the fly. Which produced one of the most amazing dubs you'll ever see. You can tell everyone involved was having a good time. Just check out the opening theme and you can see what I mean. The guy doing the Paul Lynde voice was drunk while recording this. lol

and the 4th wall is non-existant in the dub.

One of the greatest dub jobs ever. I love this show, used to have a bunch of episodes on VHS. The toys were pretty cool too.

This may be a must buy...
