Given how dark and violent this series is getting, I'm kinda amused by how much the writers are trying to avoid the usage of the words "dead" and "kill".

That said however, I really do love Airachnid's constant usage of the word "snuff". I swear to god, that girl derives sexual pleasure from murdering stuff.

I don't know why, but that sentence makes me imagine Jack in a corset and high heels whipping Airachnid as she moans incessantly.

That's because you're a very naughty boy. You've been hanging around that Dr. Fank-N-Furter again haven't you?

Since, as you say, they've gone much worse (IMO) places with death references, consider that perhaps the terms 'dead' and 'kill' are somewhat inapropriate to Cybertronian life. Unlike we humans, a Transformers life is based seemingly entirely upon the spark continuing to function. It's probable that the closest English language words to their concept of 'dead' and 'kill' are different from the ones we'd expect, closer in parallel to extinguishing a flame. (Not sure how sparks are portrayed in Prime, but I know they're often portrayed as being more than machanical (the movies being the main exception) and closer to a lit flame than a mere organ.

Come now. If Airachnid is the sadist, surely it would be the other way round.

Hence why I wondered myself that it didn't make sense. It'd be awkward, out-of-character and poorly written...

Great job guys. Can we please have a thread in the Prime forum that doesn't turn into some pathetic fetish topic?

    PLEASE?

Its not surprising. I think she's the serial killer of the Transformers series. She's probably a psychopath and a sociopath all rolled into one.

She has a lack of consience and empathy for others that allows her to manipulate rules and people without inhibition or remorse.

The girl likes to take keepsakes and ritualizes the death she causes. I think she's probably worse than Starscream. And she could be worse than Megatron if Megatron isn't an unstoppable juggernaut of destruction.

I think snuff is a stronger word than die myself, specially because of what it's associated with while dying can be for any cause, both from bad to pure.

To me, 'snuff' isn't really a stronger word. I think it's a word with less empathy for the deceased than die or death. It fits Airachnid's character, imo.

Snuff is a much stronger word, to me, because of it's connotations with snuff flms. It speaks of sadism, painful, horribly death, and the killer getting a whole load of enjoyment from it. Death is pretty generic, it's not too terifiying because it's universal. Being snuffed is cruel, lingering and totally for the gratification of others. Given the choice between dying or being snuffed, dying gives you much better odds for a painless demise.

"Dead" has always translated to "Offline", "Kill" being things like "Terminate". Not really news. But they are handling it pretty well with Prime.
This, of course, is in stark contrast to our handling of this thread. I mean, fetish material within the first post? That has to be a record.

I didn't notice that. At least it's not as as silly as in 4Kids dubs.

Haha! My evil plan is working.......

There's no probably about it, Airachnid is a serial murderer with all the mental defects required to enable it propperly. Sadly she's got far more physical prowess than most serial killers are ever likely to have, you know, because she's a giant robot that turns into a helicopter.

When she said snuff the first time I thought she was going to inhale something. But no its slang for a sudden death.
