How ironic that Sentinel thinks of humans as weak little insects that are nothing more than slave labor, yet it is a little insect that achieves the act of knocking down Sentinel for the first time in the entire film.
This that would've been awesome to see. Though watching aliens/humans splatter was kinda violent.... Wonder what would happen to a 30 ft robot
Agreed. They wouldn't even had had to concentrate on that plot point. Just a throw-away line about "Que designed these new rifles for us. He says the Cybertronian tech should have no trouble dealing with the 'Cons. ... This is how you deal with Decepticons: Head, kill shot." or something. And then added some blue lighting effects or pew-pew laser sounds to the gun they're holding. Quite ironic, yes. But then proceeds to hold his own against several Autobots at once and easily mop the floor with Optimus Prime several times over. Taking on several Autobots, soldiers and Optimus Prime > one lucky shot from a bazooka that knocks him over.
I'd go with those high tech Nest Ironman looking armor suits and weaponry that was in preproduction sketchs but never used. Except they were never used. Cause you know, they could just take blank shooting prop guns from the studio warehouse instead.
I'm really not sure how one can top the Magical Bullshit Contrivance Gun-- er, I mean, the toppity-top-secret military railgun that can hit a target across two nations and just happened to be stationed closeby.
Granted, it wasn't made by NEST, but the rail-gun is my favourite. I do admire weapons of true raw power.
Railguns of that range and power do actually exist, but are in prototype phase. A bazooka like that, however, is simply impossible to make without alien help. (Yes, I am looking at you, Que.) I went with the bazooka.
You know, this is something that the more I think about it the more I feel it was a missed opportunity. Too many boring bullets, not enough space guns.
Railgun... Because of its power, velocity, and that Que would have an orgasm seeing it in action. Did you guys here the news about the "lightning gun" the military is building?
Back in the first movie when they were talking about getting all this cutting edge technology from the study of Megatron I thought oh cool we are going to get all sorts of insanely cool weapons. Then we get to the armory and it's the same old weapons you can find in any standard action movie. They get my hopes up again when Que seems more willing to work with the humans than the Autobots did in the past. Plus Que seemed like a bit of nod toward the James Bond films so I'm think okay this time we get the really cool sci weapons, only to end up with more standard issue equipment. I can get standard real world guns in movies like The Expendables so give me the really cool out of this world stuff for a movie about robots from another planet who take their fight to Earth.
i wanted nest to make a wepon that would frist imobilze sentnail then make hime explode affter he killed Ironhide
Yes we have, suitably awesome. However I get the feeling that even as a sci-fi conceit, the Autobots and Decepticons should be using stuff like that in their sidearms. Hell, let me put my continually abused reference movie (Aliens) aside and bring in a new whipping boy: Mass Effect. In Mass Effect there is a little switch on the side of ALL your space guns that can do one of the following: Make the ammo set things on fire Make the ammo punch twice as hard against physical objects Make the ammo disrupt electronic shielding and robotic targets Make the ammo freeze things To say nothing of the guns that shoot lighting, small nukes, particle beams and even the boring bullet ones at least do something cool like fire the rounds off at about light speed. Yep, pretty much that.
