I posted this same observation in the Tokyo Motor Show thread, but I totally view this as Bumblebee's "G1 repaint," in the tradition of Rescue Ratchet, Cannon Force Ironhide, and the other G1-inspired Movie repaints. That yellow seems very close to Bee's G1 shade of yellow, and while he still has racing stripes, they disappear in robot mode. To me this figure is sort of the opposite of RTS Bumblebee. Not sure if it was intentional or if I'm just seeing what I want to see, but I suspect this guy will work nicely alongside other Movie-to-G1 repaints.

^It does look, and fit very well as, a G1-inspired redeco. It does look nice...this is one time I'd prefer an overseas exclusive redeco be released stateside, because honestly I wouldn't mind owning it but not enough to import it like I would other stuff.

Well, why is it called "neoscanning" though?
