Full credit to Jicco Customs for doing an awesome Scourge that inspired me to make this Nemesis prime. I still might do some decal/sticker work, but for now - he's sealed and finished.  

I'm slowly photographing a year's worth of TF customs in my backlog of completed projects. I was teaching overseas for a while, and it gave me time to customize, but less time to process the pics.  

Here's a writeup I did for this figure:

I made this figure while overseas using:

-Dark Side of the Moon (DOTM) Voyager Megatron
-War For Cybertron Optimus (Head/modded hands/wrists)
-Custom Cast Resin Scourge Sword (from a TFW Transformer part caster)

Painted using MR HOBBY lacquer paints + self leveling thinner + Citadel inks for the rust effects. Sealed with Citadel matte spray, with glossy areas re-coated with Glossy Citadel Varnish.

This figure is super, super articulated for a Transformer - even more so after I gave the base figure a hip modification (reversed legs + shaved down the hip-joints) to give the figure some added height and posability.

I only wish there was some kind of ab-crunch, but the base figure is still great without it.

I was fearful for a long time of painting transformers, due to paint rub. However, using lacquer paints (I bought mine at a Gundam Store overseas, but they're available on eBay + the thinners) and a properly sanded base figure, the results are pretty awesome and durable.

I really like it. I think the red may be a bit too bright, but overall this is an awesome custom. I also was inspired by Jicco to do one of these and will get around to finishing him up one of these days  , anyway...great job man!

Thanks for the positive comments everyone.   I've got him displayed right now with the Carnage Axe, with the Sword wedged on his back (between the tanker gun/roof top). It looks pretty fantastic.  

Yeah, I can see that. I went with so much glossy red because I couldn't find a decent teal in the Mr. Hobby paintline I was working with, or else he might have turned out more Scourge-like. I'm happy with the bright red/black combination though. This figure got alot of attention at the custom toy shows I've had this spring. ^_^

This might be the best Nemesis Prime I've seen. Looks like he could lay a beat down on anybody. Great work.
