Got a request for one of these a while back. I'm really happy with how it turned out. As always, cleaned off the paint apps, cleaned everything, primed with krylon fusion, detailed with tamiya and testors model masters, and clear coated with dull coat. Pretty straight forward. I added a gun to him, cause it just didn't seem right without it. Hope you guys enjoy! This guy is on ebay BTW.
The colors are just enough to match what Hasbro would normally do for paint apps on a figure, the shade of red is perfect....I cannot see why we shouldn't get a reproduction of this exact figure. You just nailed it Sioce. I would imagine you've probably got a lot of rub with the cab bumper and that plastic for the fuel tanks.
I actually sanded those bits down. There is just enough friction to hold them in place, but not enought to chip the paint. The only area that can be tricky is the doors in truck mode. They clip in, but I am always afraid to see a chip. But nothing yet after 6-10 times transforming it.
If hasbro would ever release one of these I only hope it would look this good, but i know thats not happening.. Great job..
I don't care what he's called- he just needs to be released mass retail and look like this. AMAZING work.
All this great customs make me want this figure even more. Since RTS Laser Prime was announced, I'm waiting for this repaint.
