I just picked up nemesis breaker yesterday, partially because I'm a sucker for cats, and also because of the cool color scheme. I took off the little hip panels to allow his arms to rotate more, but golly do his real shoulders suck. I tried looking for discussion on him, but didn't really find much.

am I the only person who thinks his shoulder articulation is awful? if they could swing out to the side, instead of having that happen down in the middle of his biceps, he'd be a totally awesome figure. has anyone tried to do add this or found some way to improve it? I realize that most of the reason for this is because the mold can become an arm, but jeez I'd love to fix this somehow.

I just decided to be thankful it had an outward arm movement at all, even if it is at the elbow. They really could have improved him a lot, mainly by making the legs lock together for claw mode.

Ahhh somebody a while ago posted pitures in the cool stuff thread of their own alterated Leo Breaker. They replaced his old joints with ball joints. It looked really cool.

You certainly aren't. They could've dropped that useless hinge on the outside of the shoulder and replaced it with a ball joint on the inside.

Yes, cost savings have to be made, but when the transformation is so simplistic they could compensate by incorporating better articulation.

Mine cost $12 and it's not worth a penny more.

The articulation does bother me a little, but its more of an overall thing. He's got the right ideas but they don't work as well as perhaps they should or could.

Yeah I totally agree. The arm articulation is bad, but the legs are what really bothers me. The lion mode looks cool but the 'bot mode fails pretty badly for such a simple toy.

I don't mind the arms at all, I really love the look of the shoulders just because it looks like they've been built to tear things apart.

What I don't like is the chest in lion mode since it just stops and the knees of the hind legs kind of bother me.

Yeah, that was me that did the jointed one. Here's a shot I dug up real quick of it.

ohhhh no you don't. you cant post that pic without showing more and telling how you did it. I'd want to do this, so would need to know where you got the joint and how you put it in. this would be my first mod of this type, and so I'm excited about doing it.

The joints come from Bionicle. Just epoxy on and voila.
