Okay, gonna need some help on this one and hopefully before tonight. My computer's SD Card reader is acting strange. Until last week, it was acting fine.

    - Card is recognized by the computer as being in the reader.
    - No "DA-DUM" sound when inserted.
    - Card's drive spot on My Computer goes from transparent to solid once inserted.
    - Card cannot be formatted on the computer, card is not locked
    - Card can be read and formatted on other computers, as well as my camera.
    - No cables are loose, no connections are dirty. I've already checked those.
    - Other cards are not being recognized
    - External Card Reader does work, but I would rather figure out what is going wrong on my end before I buy an external reader.

Could this possibly be Windows Update based?

from the sounds of it, its a internal reader...and im guessing you did a Windows update recently.

and when you say card's drive goes from transparent to solid, does it state the name of the card

    No.

Restarting computer now for the Windows Update removal. Let's see if this works.

    EDIT: Restart did nothing.

Support no longer needed. Discovered that via USB cord I could just run my SDCard files through my camera's SD port.
