So I'm going to get new running shoes today. I've worn New Balance for about 3 years now and I've been happy with them. My sister recently got a pair of Asics, after wearing New Balance for a bour 3-4 years and she swears by them. Says she'll never switch.

So I'm thinking of getting some Asics as well, but wanted to hear from you guys SO recomend me a shoe company, or hell, a specific pair of shoes, to help me find a really good pair.

Quite a lot of serious runners rate Asics as the best running shoe around. My only advice would be to find a shop that specializes in selling shoes for running rather than going to Foot Locker and just letting the browbeat you into buying the latest rehash of the Air Max theme.

I just got a new pair of New Balance myself and they by far are extremely comfortable and very durable. I mean I frame houses in my NB and they hold up very well as well as for running, excellent cushion.

make sure you know if you pronate or not and get the shoe that offers the correct amount of support, wheather it be a nuetral shoe or a very supportive one.

    i suggest clown shoes.

they have ample room and provide comedic relief.

and you know what they say abt ppl with big shoes.

Aside from job interviews and funerals, I always wear boots made from genuine dead cows. Trainers are a waste of money if you don't need them for sports and the like, they fall apart too easily and offer no real protection for your feet.

I wouldn't really wear skate shoes for running. I wear Adio and they're nice and comfy and great for skating but they're not built much for long term running. They put the padding more in the top of the shoe (the tongues are usually massive) so they don't absorb the impact of running that much. Also the Adio's with Airbags pop/crack real easy.

No use for trainers, running shoes, or what have you. Give me a nice looking motorcycle boot any day of the week.

I used to wear Vans and Airwalk but I have flat feet and they didn't offer much support. These days I wear Nikes and New Balance. I picked up a pair of Nike Air Desolations for this winter. They're pretty comfy and they have Gore-tex so the snow won't get my feet wet.
