um.... you know you can have any kind of flishing lights, you just can't use them while you're driving, right? look it up. its common sense.
the police will know your specific state's laws on the subject. each state will likely be a little different. here in VA, we're not allowed to have any non-standard lighting while on the road, that includes flashing lights, light bars, and those neons underneath the car. that's regardless of color. now, if you're not on the road (say at an auto show), you can have those lights, but they can't be on while you're on the road. the tricky part is, a non-functioning light bar still makes your vehicle look like an emergency responder, so you have to be careful that the cops don't think you're impersonating them. best bet is to have a removable light bar that you put on only for shows.
